5 The Verb To Love

FROM THE AUTHOR...
What better way does a recording artist like myself have to encourage harmonious behavior among his fellow humans than to sing songs that champion the concept of "love?" Love is not a word easily defined, but examining and encouraging its positive aspects seemed like a good idea to me recently. The pieces in this collection were authored by some of my favorite song writers (yes, artists whose works I genuinely "love"). Listeners who expect to hear me simply mimicking these old songs should be prepared for some surprises. On the other hand, those listeners who have heard other songs that I have "covered" over the last 50 years will likely be ready for the unique interpretations presented here.
I unwittingly kicked off this project with my interpretation of "Everyday People" late last year. This release brought me several reports of good feelings being spawned among friends and strangers, and, consequently, led me to producing the other five pieces in this collection. Each of these recordings took several weeks to produce; thus, this collection is relatively short and to the point.
"Handle With Care" is a tribute to the authors of these songs and to each artist's enthusiasm for encouraging harmonious behavior among their fellow humans. This collection is a not-for-profit production. No rights are claimed to the lyrics or melodies of any of these songs nor to any recordings of these songs created by their authors or by anyone else. I encourage listeners to sing along and share the love.
